Unfortunately, due to our widespread internet exposure, there are a great deal of unqualified new buyers for international events. Too much time is wasted on unqualified buyers which effects our time we have for working with our roster of talent and our confirmed buyers. Our policy for 2016 is CTI can not give availability, fees and accept any offer, unless our buyers have deposited a $5000 fee to prove that the buyer is serious and qualified. This fee will be credited to the fee of the celebrity. if your event is not in Canada or the US, we will need this done before we can give you availability, routing and full information on the celebrity.
Celebrity Talent International is the most complete American contact for events in foreign countries, with 25 years experience in contracting celebrities for major corporations, medical institutions, meeting planners, fundraisers, symphony orchestras and concert venues.
International events are more difficult to confirm than events in the US without full information from the buyer. With the amount of inexperienced internet inquiries, talent, management and CTI must qualify all new international buyers.
Please read the following and if you are an experienced buyer and meet the following criteria, we can proceed to assisting you. It is very important to read the following and agree to both the Exclusive Agency and Escrow Payments. Otherwise CTI cannot help you or will talent respond to international inquiries. We need to know the full details, the buyer's experience and if there is correct funding, to give any availability and pricing. Managers will need full information on the venue, promotion history of the buyer and ticket and promotion information before management will give availability and pricing
Buyer Must Be Qualified and Also Select CTI as the Agent
With the number of new buyers contacting CTI and major talent, buyers new to working with CTI, must sign an agreement that states you have chosen CTI as your agent and we both agree we will work professionally together. Also to give you correct availability and pricing, CTI must be able to tell talent and managers, you are a qualified buyer and CTI is the agent on the booking. If more than one company is contacting agents or managers, there is no incentive for managers to give competitive pricing and CTI has no leverage to help you. CTI must expend its time, resources, energy and efforts on a buyers behalf in order to locate and book a celebrity for Client's Event. Client must agree not to attempt to engage in any direct contact with the celebrity or a representative of the celebrity.
If, prior to contacting CTI, Client has contacted any Celebrity, or Celebrity Agent for this Event, Buyer will disclose to CTI in writing all pertinent information including but not limited to names of Celebrities, Celebrity Agents and dates of contact. Notwithstanding, CTI shall nevertheless be Client's exclusive agent for the engagement of Celebrity.
Client is authorized to enter into this Agreement and perform its terms. Client is further authorized and empowered to enter into a formal agreement confirming and contracting for the engagement of Celebrity.
(Client is the person or entity who is promoting, sponsoring and financing the Event ("Event Sponsor"). If not the Event Sponsor, Client is exclusively acting for the Event Sponsor as its exclusive agent and the Event Sponsor is disclosed in writing to CTI.
Fees Listed on CTI's Website
Talent and their mangers set fees that they want CTI to give to buyers, not CTI. Also international events for talent often take three times more time and have much higher costs for them to do the events, with travel costs, higher staff payroll and they cannot make money when they are traveling. CTI can only put a range and an average cost and we need to contact the manager to get firm pricing for you. Pricing on our site is only an average fee on past bookings and may be lower or higher depending on your event location, the date, where the talent is coming from and how busy they are.
Escrow Account For All International Bookings
For international events, managers and talent, will always ask for CTI to have a firm offer signed by the buyer, backed up with a confirmation deposit in an escrow account, which will have mutually agreeable terms for release of funds. This deposit will be applied toward the talent fees upon confirmation. CTI will send you an Offer Agreement and also the Escrow documents when you have given CTI all the information needed to proceed on confirming the talent for your event.
