Ian won his first professional event, the New Zealand Open, in 1983, and in the following year led the British Open into the final day where he finished a credible 9th and earned an invitation to the U.S. Masters in 1985.Ian has won sixteen Tour events in four continents and represented Australia in two Dunhill Cups (1989 & 1992) and the World Cup (1985) and co-captained the 1996 Presidents Cup team. Ian is a golf analyst with ABC Sports, designs golf courses, hosts numerous corporate outings and plays a select group of PGA Tour events..
