Sweet Georgia Brown was born in South Carolina and spent summers in New York City where she was enrolled at the Victoria School of Music in Harlem, studying Tap Dance and vocal training. At nine years old Georgia made her stage debut at Carnegie Hall in the musical, Alice in Wonderland," as a tap dancer. Her family moved to New York City and Georgia sang at the weekly assembly and in the Chorus, representing her school in the All Star Chorus Competition, and winning. Starring in, "An Evening at the Cotton Club" as Bessie Smith, Georgia toured Europe entertaining audiences with her high-energy performances of Jazz, Blues, and Gospel tunes! Georgia has performed with Dizzy Gillespie, George Benson, Fathead, KoKo Taylor and Stanley Turrentine!
