T. Graham Brown moved to Nashville from Athens, Georgia in 1982 and found employment recording demo tapes. Nobody sounded like him, and Capitol Records signed him quickly. I Tell It Like It Used To Be, his first single, stumped country radio, but it became a hit. Hell And High Water, Come As You Were, and Darlene followed. All became country hits, and T. Graham Brown and his band, Rack Of Spam, hit the road.
Continued hits. The video for Brilliant Conversationalist aired on VH-1. Dock Of The Bay was a hit in Germany and Rock It, Billy in England. In 1987, 1989, and 1990, he was nominated for Country Music Association Awards and won in 1992 for I Don't Need Your Rocking Chair.
He became a popular jingle singer and continues today. He's sang on commercials for Coca-Cola, Kraft Foods, McDonalds, Stroh's Beer, Budweiser, Ford Trucks, and 7-Up, and he's in the Commercial Hall of Fame in Chicago for Taco Bell's Run For The Border campaign.
