Faith Evans Booking Agency Profile

Book Faith Evans for your next corporate event, function, or private party.
Faith Evans moved to Los Angeles in 1991 to pursue a career in the music industry after being born in Lakeland, Florida, and having grown up in New Jersey. She began her career as a backup singer for Christopher Williams and Al B. Sure! before signing a deal with Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs' Bad Boy Records in 1994 when she was 20 years old. Between 1995 and 2001, she recorded three platinum-certified studio albums on the label: "Faith" (1995), "Keep the Faith" (1998), and "Faithfully." She collaborated on songs with various label mates, including 112 and Carl Thomas (2001). She parted ways with the business in 2003 and signed with Capitol Records. The holiday album "A Faithful Christmas" would become her final release before the label was acquired in 2007. Her debut album on the label, "The First Lady" (2005), became her highest-charting album at the time, peaking at the top of the US Top RnB/Hip-Hop Albums charts. After a longer break, Evans' fifth album, "Something About Faith," was released in 2010 on the independent labels Prolific and Entertainment One Music. Over the course of a 20-year career, Evans has sold more than 20 million records globally. Evans is best known for being the widow of New York rapper Christopher "The Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, whom she married on August 4, 1994, a few months after they first met during a Bad Boy photoshoot. Evans is also a recording artist. Evans' engagement in the East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry, which dominated the rap music news at the time, was the outcome of the tumultuous marriage. The marriage ended with Wallace's murder in an unsolved drive-by shooting in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997. Evans received a Grammy Award in 1998 for "I'll Be Missing You," a 1997 tribute song with Puff Daddy and the band 112. Evans, a writer and performer, made her movie debut in Robert Adetuyi's musical drama Turn It Up from 2000. Her book Keep the Faith: A Memoir, published by Grand Central Publishing in 2008, took home the Best Biog.
