Flyleaf is an American Christian rock band from Texas, and their eclectic genre has been dubbed a blend of Christian metal, hard rock, post grunge, and new metal. Their debut self-titled album went platinum after selling more than one million copies. They won an online poll on yahoo.com that stated that they were Yahoo!'s Who's Next band of the month and were also named MTV's artist of the week. Their first mainstream single was I'm So Sick. From that same album, three more singles emerged with "Fully Alive", "All Around Me", and "Sorrow. Their second album, Memento Mori peaked at number 8 on the Billboard charts. Right before the release of their third album, singer Lacey Sturm announced she was quitting the band. She was replaced by Kristen May. Since then, Flyleaf has released another EP and full length albums entitled New Horizons and Between the Stars. They had a hit single called "Something Better" which featured P.O.D.'s singer Sonny Sandocal. To date, they have won an award for Favorite Music Video by AMTV as well as the Pop Song Award from BMI.
