Calibre 50 are an award-winning, Mexican quartet from Mazatlan, Sinaloa. Eden Munoz, Armando Ramos, Alex Gaxiola, and Erick Garcia are the four members of the group. Calibre 50 had a humble beginning, playing gigs at small restaurants and parties before landing a recording deal. After the release of their breakout album, De Sinaloa Para el Mundo, Calibre 50 kept up a demanding recording and tour schedule. Calibre 50 paired up with another Mexican band, Carnival, for the song Gente Batallosa which became the most played song of the year in Mexico and won the two bands the Billboard Award for Song of the Year Vocal Collaboration. Calibre 50 went on release numerous chart top singles and albums including their songs Ni Que Estuvieras Tan Buena, which also became the most played song of the year in Mexico, and El Immigrante which held the number one spot on the Mexican radio charts for 10 weeks. Their album, Desde el Rancho, was highly embraced by fans and remained at the number one spot on the Mexican Regional Albums chart for more than 52 weeks. The band continues to release new music on a regular basis and has experimented with several styles of Mexican music including hardcore corridos, rancheras, and cumbias. .
