Peter Manfredo Jr., also known as “The Pride of Providence”, is an American professional boxer who is a former IBO middleweight champion. Peter has competed in middleweight and super middleweight divisions and has challenged twice for upper-level world titles, at middleweight and super middleweight, and has won the NABO, IBU and European Boxing Association light middleweight titles. Peter is the son of Peter Manfredo Sr., who was also a professional boxer as well as a world kickboxing champion. Watching his father compete at a young age gave Peter the influence to box himself and he went on to begin boxing at 7 years old. During his amateur career, Peter earned a bronze medal at the Eastern Olympic Trials, earned the Outstanding Boxer Award at the Junior Olympics, won Silver Mitters and New England Golden Gloves. Peter went on to turn professional after his debut fight against Steve Garrett. Since turning professional, Peter has competed in a total of 48 fights, won 40 of them, won 21 by KO, lost 7, and has had 1 draw.
