Moonchild is an American alternative RnB band from Los Angeles, California, which consists of members Amber Navran, Max Bryk, and Andris Mattson. The trio met while studying at USC Thornton School of Music’s Jazz Studies program and the trio are all alumni’s. After their formation, the band spent time writing music which ended up resulting in their debut studio album, “Be Free,” which earned recognition from artists which included Stevie Wonder, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Jill Scott. The album also led Stevie Wonder to ask Moonchild to open for him at the House Full of Toys benefit concert. After the release of their debut album, Moonchild released their second album, “Please Rewind.” Since then, the band has gone on to release two more albums which include “Voyager,” and “Little Ghost.” Moonchild have previously performed at the NPR Tiny Desk Concert, and have worked with artists which include Rapsody and Tall Black Guy. Moonchild have been featured on NPR’s list of Five RnB Albums You Slept On and they have been featured on JAZZ FM’s Soul Act of the Year. They currently have over 433,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and their single “Cure” has nearly 13 million streams and their single “The List” currently has over 10.2 million streams.
