Laria McCormic, better known as her stage name, Marzz, is an up and coming singer-songwriter from Louisville, Kentucky, who writes and performs unique music in hopes that the people who listen to her music are inspired to love their own uniqueness. Marzz chose her stage name as she states that you can see all bumps and scars on Mars and she wants to have that same transparency in her music. Marzz found her love of music at only four years old when she began singing in her church choir. By the time she was in high school, Marzz’s friends hyped her up into performing at her school’s pep rallies. During this time she began writing her own songs and while gaining her confidence, Marzz finally decided to begin releasing RnB style freestyles on her Instagram. As she rose to fame through social media, Marzz caught the attention of producer Timbaland. He reached out to her to offer to produce a track for her EP she was recording. He then posted her through his own Instagram which went on to earn her an even bigger fan base which included none other than Justin Timberlake. Since then, Marzz has released her debut single, “Rain Freestyle,” which she has most recently followed up with two more singles, “Feelin’ Me” and “So Frequently.” Currently, Marzz has over 50,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and her single Feelin’ Me has nearly 60,000 streams..
