Kraftwerk is a German electronic band from Dusseldorf, Germany, which currently consists of members Ralf Hutter, Fritz Hilpert, Henning Schmitz and Falk Grieffenhagen. The band was formed by Hutter and former member Florian Schneider and are known for being one of the starters of electronic music and was one of the first successful acts of the genre. The band was formed in the early 70’s and their music is a mixture of electronic, synth-pop, electropop, art pop, avant-garde and krautrock.
