Arlo Parks is a British singer-songwriter and poet who has recently gained attention after the release of her debut studio album, “Collapsed in Sunbeams.” Parks was born in Hammersmith, London, England, and was born to a French mother which led her to learn to speak French before English. Parks went on to begin her career playing her demos to BBC Music Introducing before she caught the attention of DJ Jess Iszatt who sent the demos to Ali Raymond from Beatnik Creative, who went on to sign as Parks’ manager. From there, Parks went on to release her debut single, “Cola.” The following year, Parks debut single Cola had gone on to earn over 3 million streams through the streaming app Spotify. Her growing fame led to her signing with Transgressive Records where she released her debut EP, “Super Sad Generation.” A few months later, Parks released her second EP, “Sophie.” Parks has previously performed at Glastonbury Festival as well as Latitude Festival. She also began to start her first headlining tour throughout Europe but had to cut it short due to COVID-19. She has since gone on to release the singles “Eugene,” “Black Dog,” “Hurt,” “Green Eyes,” and “Caroline.” Parks has previously been named One to Watch at the AIM Independent Music Awards and has also been the Introducing Artist of the Year by BBC.
