It just wasn’t something he was completely comfortable sharing with the public, hence the collaboration that is Lower Dens was born. Their debut was “Twin-Hand Movement” which was under Jana’s first label Gnomonsong. They later became the first band to sing with Ribbon Music while releasing their sophomore album “Nootropics” in 2012. In total, Lower Dens has four albums, with the most recent being “The Competition” in 2019. Their third album, “Escape from Evil,” was also released under Ribbon Music.
