Nikos "Nick" Kypreos was born in Toronto, Ontario, where he played as a young man in the 1979 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament alongside a minor ice hockey team. Nick’s career only took off from there when he joined the Philadelphia Flyers as a Free Agent. His NHL career officially took off when he joined the Washington Capitals and then he moved on to the Hartford Whalers. It was with the Hartford Whalers that he scored a career highlight of seventeen goals. Shortly after, he joined the New York Rangers and helped the team win the Stanley Cup. Finally, he made his way back to the Toronto Maple Leafs before ending his career after sustaining a concussion. His career in sports didn’t quite end there, however, as he went on to co-host the Hockey Central, alongside Darren Dreger and Darren Millard. Nick was also on TSN as an analyst.
