(G)I-DLE, which is short for “Girl-Idle”, is a South Koreans k pop group put together in 2018 by Cube Entertainment. The group -- made up of Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua – debuted their first EP “I Am” in May of 2018. Along with this EP, they’ve also released five others: “I Made” and “Latata” in 2019; “I Trust” and “Oh My God” in 2020; and “I Burn” in 2021. The “I Trust” EP hit number 1 on the Korean Gaon chart and 4 on the Billboard U.S. World chart. It’s their most successful EP. It was the second-highest first-day sell by any k pop girl group. (G)I-DLE released their debut studio album “I Never Die” in March of 2022. It debuted at number 2 on the Korean Gaon chart. In the midst of the pandemic, the group donated 30,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to families through Hold Children’s Services. They became goodwill ambassadors for the city of Seoul. The group has an incredibly high brand reputation and they’ve topped the Girl group Brand Power Ranking for the Korean Business Research Institute.
