The band Arkells got their start in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 2006. The members all met at McMaster University. They released their debut EP “Deadlines” in 2007 and a year later, they were signed to Dine Alone Records, with whom they re-issued their EP and released their debut studio album “Jackson Square”. The 12-track album was certified Gold. Their 2011 record, “Michigan Left” released under Universal Music Canada, also went on to reach Gold status and even hit number 5 on the Canada charts. Their 2014 album “High Noon” hit number 3 on the Canadian charts and was certified Platinum. Arkells also went on to receive the Juno Award for Group of the Year and Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year at the 2015 Juno Awards. Around this time, Arkells toured with Billy Talent, Anti-Flag, Metric, Tokyo Police club, Lights, Augustines, The Postelles, and more. They performed at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. They released “Rally Cry” in October of 2018 and toured alongside Lord Huron. Most recently, they released the album “Blink Once”, which featured “All Roads” and “You Can Get It" featuring singer and rapper K.Flay.
