Head Wound City Booking Agency Profile

Head Wound City is a hardcore punk, screamo, and thrashcore supergroup band consisting of members from noise rock band The Locust, post-hardcore screamo band The Blood Brothers, and alternative garage rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The band consists of Jordan Billie, Nick Zinner, Cody Votolato, and Justin Pearson. Punk rock drummer Gabe Serbian was previously a member of the band as well. Head Wound City got together when Nick set out to start something completely new. The Blood Brothers played with Yeah Yeah Yeahs in London and, while their musical styles are wildly different, the two of them thought they’d make the perfect combination. After recruiting Justin and Gabe from The Locust (one of the most famous noise rock bands of all time), they had themselves a supergroup. They’ve been described as being hardcore punk, post hardcore, thrashcore, and even grindcore. They’ve been referred to as being a part of a generation of bands that expand boundaries of post hardcore, screamo, and grindcore. There aren’t a lot of bands like Head Wound City, but like other noise rock bands, their music consists of short bursts of energy and screams. The band doesn’t have a song that’s longer than 2 minutes..
