Light and Torch Booking Agency Profile

Light the Torch is an American supergroup of metalcore veterans, previously known as Devil You Know. They got their start a decade ago, in 2012, in their native Los Angeles and went on to sign to Nuclear Blast Records. So far, they have two albums under their belt: “The Beauty of Destruction” from 2014 and “They Bleed Red” from 2015, both albums released under the name Devil You Know before switching over to their new name. As Light the Torch, they released 2018’s “Revival” and most recently “You Will Be the Death of Me” in 2021. Their songs “Calm Before the Storm” and the most recent “Wilting in the Light” were chart toppers and were both released under their new name. Current members include Francesco Artusato on lead guitar and rhythm guitar, Howard Jones (lead singer of Killswitch Engage and Blood Has Been Shed) on lead vocals, Ryan Wombacher on bass and backing vocals, and Alex Rüdinger on drums. Previously, John Sankey of the band Devolved was the drummer. It was John leaving the band that triggered the name change from Devil You Know to Light the Torch, apparently for legal reasons. The band went on to win the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band..
