The Album Leaf Booking Agency Profile

Book The Album Leaf for your next corporate event, function, or private party.
Jimmy LaValle, a songwriter from San Diego who started the post-rock band Tristeza one year ago, is currently working on a solo project called The Album Leaf. LaValle built his own tunes in a similarly diverse way, drawing inspiration from a variety of genres, including classical, jazz, and post-rock. He used anything from background noise to field recordings to radio transmissions. In 1999, An Orchestrated Rise to Fall debuted the resulting sound. LaValle's second full-length album, "One Day I'll Be on Time," was published on Tiger Style in March 2001. It was preceded by an EP ("In an Off White Room"). By the time he started working on his third album, he had also gained Iceland studios' assistance and the participation of numerous members of that band. In June 2004, the resulting album, "In a Safe Place," debuted on the Sub Pop label.

Early in 2005, the United States saw the release of "The Seal Beach" EP, which had first been released in Spain in 2003. In September 2006, LaValle's following album, Into the Blue Again, was released. The Album Leaf performed on several countries and irregularly toured the rest of the decade, opening with Devendra Banhart at the Hollywood Bowl in 2008. Two years later, LaValle released "A Chorus of Storytellers," his sixth full-length album..
