Kyle Newacheck co-wrote and co-starred in the Comedy Central series Workaholics, which he also co-created. On the FX comedy-horror series What We Do in the Shadows, he serves as both producer and director. Newacheck earned an editing degree from The Los Angeles Film School in 2004. She is a native of Concord, California. Prior to founding Mail Order Comedy in 2006 with Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine, and Anders Holm, he worked as an editing professor at his alma university.

With Mail Order Comedy, Newacheck started writing, directing, and editing comedic short films, most notably the "Crossbows and Moustaches" web series for Myspace. Workaholics, a Comedy Central comedy that aired for seven seasons and about three slackers and their drug dealer, was co-created by Newacheck in 2011. Karl Hevacheck, a drug dealer, is portrayed by Newacheck in the television series.

Additionally, about half of the Workaholics episodes were directed by Newacheck. Since then, he has developed into a marginally successful television comedy director, helming episodes of Happy Endings, Community, Parks and Recreation, and other shows. Currently, Greg Daniels and Robert Padnick's untitled TV movie is scheduled for him to helm.

For Adam DeVine's House Party, Newacheck also worked with his Mail Order Comedy collaborator Adam DeVine. The co-creator, director, and sporadic star is Newacheck.

In 2014, he and his brother Adam co-directed the music video for Childish Gambino's song "The Worst Guys.".
