Lucrecia Dalt is an experimental musician originally from Colombia who is based in Berlin at the moment. Her initial albums were based in electronic dance music; however, as time has progressed, her work has developed into something that is more explicitly abstract and experimental. Dalt was born in the year 1980 in the city of Pereira, Colombia. Before opting to pursue a career in music, she received her education in civil engineering and worked for a geotechnical company in Medellin for a period of two years.
Under the moniker Lucrecia, her earliest recordings were distributed by the Colombian collective known as Series. After she had a chance encounter with Gudrun Gut, she decided to contribute four songs to the compilation titled "4 Women No Cry," which was released by Monika Enterprise in the year 2008.
After moving to Europe, she collaborated with Aaron Dilloway on a number of recordings, one of which was issued on Nicolás Jaar's Other People imprint. She also released a number of recordings independently after making the move. Anticlines (2018) and No Era Sólida (2020), both of which were released on RVNG Intl., are two of her more recent albums.
