Vladimir "Vlad" Caamao is an American comedian and actor. His name is also occasionally written Caamano. He was born on August 12, 1979. Vladimir Caamao was born in the Bronx to a Dominican American family that adhered to all of the cultural norms. The building in which he resided was managed by his father in the capacity of superintendent. A big portion of Vlad's humor comes from his relationship with his father and other aspects of his personal life, both of which he frequently makes fun of in his stand-up routine. After completing his studies at Wesleyan University, he went on to begin a career as a stand-up comedian, beginning his career in comedy clubs such as The Stand Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, Dangerfield's, and Comic Strip Live. He entered into an agreement with producers Adam Sztykiel and Bill Lawrence to develop a pilot episode of a sitcom for NBC to be titled A Bronx Experiences that would be based on his real life. Even though the pilot was not picked up by the network, Vlad is keeping his fingers crossed that it will be picked up by another network. According to Variety, Vlad is one of the top ten comedians that audiences should keep an eye out for in 2016.
