The relationships between band members are quite similar to marriages, as almost every single successful band will attest to. When you spend hours, days, months and eventually years with someone, travel across the country side by side and watch as your offspring are born and experience life, you pretty much have a true grasp of what marriage is all about. Given that Kerry and Donna Herrick are married both musically and figuratively, that connection was stitched for them using a double-threaded needle.
As two young people who had grown up together in Spokane, they began working together in junior high school. Even then, it was painfully clear that they cared deeply for one another because they both understood how perfectly they completed the big picture of adolescence. Southern gospel music surrounded Kerry as he grew up with his five brothers and sisters. It was pretty much a foregone conclusion that music would plow a path beneath his feet since his sister and cousin, who made up The Herrick Family Gospel Singers, were both accomplished musicians. The only person on earth who was aware that Donna was a truly talented vocalist was her mother. She watched him and his brother sing in their customary jam before finally offering her voice and Kerry couldn't believe what he was hearing.
Their musical synergy started to take off at that very time. Herrick is the patchwork product of two long-term cohabiting lives.  Theirs is a fabric held together by steel thread, stitched in an organic composition with wonderful harmonies..
