"Lifetime," Romy's first solo single, was released. It  is a song about the desire to be reunited with friends, family and the people we love, portraying the ecstasy of being together once again. It was written and recorded in London while the city was under lockdown. It's a song that finds Romy thrilled with possibility and in her own words, is about "being entirely in the present and appreciating it." 
Romy's love of longing, emotive club music and classic songwriting come together in "Lifetime." She co-wrote the songs for the three critically acclaimed albums by her band The xx and has also written music for artists like Mark Ronson, Jehnny Beth, Benny Blanco and Dua Lipa (including her GRAMMY winning hit single "Electricity").
Romy has embraced a budding DJing career while polishing her talent as a songwriter. Her passion for DJing, which she first sparked as a teenager (when she landed her first job spinning records at a gay bar in Soho), has recently been revived. She has performed at Homobloc in Manchester, Club to Club in Torino and this year's Pride Within for Amnesty, among other venues. She also played a significant role in the BBC Radio 1 Residency series.
