Hana Vu Booking Agency Profile

Hana Vu composes pop music in her LA bedroom. Her full-length debut, Public Storage, was announced when she signed with Ghostly International.
Vu first became interested in music when she learned how to play the guitar her dad had laying around. Every morning she would listen to ALT 98.7 in Los Angeles, which played alternative rock from the 1990s and 2000s. Later in high school, she discovered the local DIY movement. She began documenting her in-room pop experiments on Bandcamp. Over the course of a number of self-recordings, her sound—dark, melodic pop powered by the guitar and Vu's unique contralto—became established. These releases included a subdued Willow Smith duet as well as renditions of The Cure and Phil Collins.
Gorilla vs. Bear heard her song "Crying on the Subway" and decided to release Vu's self-produced first EP, How Many Times Have You Driven By, on their Luminelle Recordings brand. Pitchfork, NME and The Fader were among the first publications to feature the band; the latter made the lighthearted claim that "the seventeen-year-old is cooler than you and me." She followed it up with the Nicole Kidman / Anne Hathaway double EP on Luminelle.
Vu has backed artists such as Soccer Mommy, Sales, Nilufer Yanya, Wet, Kilo Kish and Phantogram on stage. Her debut release with Ghostly and her first collaboration with co-producer Jackson Phillips (Day Wave) are the album Public Storage..

The final Hana Vu booking price is contingent on many variables and the booking fee we may show is based on a range derived from our past experience with what will Hana Vu charge for an event. An example fee to book Hana Vu is in the starting range of $15,000-$24,999. However, any recent popularity change would cause a price fluctuation well beyond this example. Also, their speaking fee might be different than the fee shown for the cost to perform or to just appear. Popularity, career stage, along with current demand will cause fluctuations in their speaking price as well. The final booking price may be more than what is shown, but you should at least have a budget within that range for them to consider an appearance, performance or speaking engagement.
CTI negotiates on behalf of professional event planners and talent buyers for paid appearances! There is low probability to book Hana Vu for a party with anything substantially less than the published booking cost price range. We will negotiate with the Hana Vu agent on your behalf if your funding is in place. By not having funding ready then it will more difficult to book Hana Vu, because they get many offers to work events that are at or above asking price. It is also important to consider the travel costs when researching the Hana Vu booking fee, as additional expenses like this, as well as an entourage of staff and equipment, are not necessarily built-in to the booking fee range shown. If your budget does not factor that in, then there is no benefit for them to want to be hired. We do not personally speak for Hana Vu, but in our experience in booking talent for over 25 years, this is generally the outcome of inadequate funding.
