The seven fast-paced hits on Lasso's most recent EP, Amuo, are bursting with fury and inventiveness. Similar to their debut EP, Amuo is a dark and aggressive combination of punchy bass drives, churning riffs and agonized screams that mixes classic hardcore punk with elements of death rock, making it particularly appealing to Rudimentary Peni fans. Even the Dead Kennedys-like surf punk parts can be heard on "Fechado Em Copas" and "Atarantado," respectively, but "Mendaz," the record's closing, is more of a mid-paced stomper in the classic USHC form. Since none of the songs go beyond two minutes, Amuo can be considered a hardcore bruiser.
