2011 saw him go on a carbon-neutral "Blues Gone Green" bicycle tour of the United Kingdom. He took part in the Himalayan "Worlds Highest Gig." In pursuit of the blues music's origins, he has traveled across Mali on his motorbike trips. He lived in his Holden station wagon for a year in Australia and traveled through Northern India and Nepal on a vintage Royal Enfield. AMA Instrumentalist of the Year, Best Acoustic Guitarist and Best Acoustic Blues Artist are among the most recent nominations. notable performances at numerous festivals and venues throughout the world, including Glastonbury, Royal Albert Hall, Union Chapel and others.
Daniel Kimbro is a musician from Knoxville, TN who is nominated for a Grammy and has a plethora of recording credits and touring experience. He was raised on American Roots music in and around Appalachia. Daniel divides his time between Knoxville and Nashville. He has shared the stage with numerous artists, including James Taylor, Alison Krauss, Sir Aly Bain, Cara Dillon, R.B. Morris, Molly Tuttle, Maura O'Connell and many more. Currently, Daniel is on tour with John Hiatt, the Jerry Douglas Band, the Earls of Leicester and the Transatlant.
