Matchbox Twenty Booking Agency Profile

Book Matchbox Twenty for your next corporate event, function, or private party.
Matchbox Twenty were classified as one of the hordes of post-grunge guitar bands that wandered the American pop industry in the middle of the '90s when their debut album, "Yourself or Someone Like You," was released in the fall of 1996. It was widely believed that they were a one-hit wonder as their initial single, "Push," rose up the charts, but "Yourself or Someone Like You" continued to produce singles long into 1998. By then, the band's fusion of 1970s arena rock and early 1990s American alt-rock had taken over as the style of popular American rock. Because they were able to combine the form and tone of '70s arena music with '90s hard rock, Matchbox Twenty were able to appeal to a wide audience by appearing both traditional and contemporary. Even though no one really acknowledged it, they were the most well-known rock band in America in the late '90s because of their little more traditionalist than modern sound. Due to the surprise success of Smooth, a Santana song that Rob Thomas co-wrote and sang, Matchbox Twenty didn't vanish from view. Smooth was the lead single from Santana's cameo-filled return album, "Supernatural," which featured numerous songs sung by famous people. Expectations for the upcoming record, named "Mad Season," were boosted by its success. The band released its third album, "More Than You Think You Are," two years later. For the first time ever, the entire band contributed to the songwriting for this particular album. With the publication of their "retrospective" album "Exile on Mainstream" in 2007, the trio made a comeback on the music scene. The new album's second single, "These Hard Times," was released after the first single, "How Far We've Come." A complete collection of all eleven of their prior single releases is included on "Exile on Mainstream," along with four additional brand-new songs. The band's album "North," which included the popular song "She's So Mean," was published in 2012..

An example fee to book Matchbox Twenty is in the starting range of $500,000-$749,000. However, any recent popularity change would cause a price fluctuation well beyond this example. Also, their speaking fee might be different than the fee shown for the cost to perform or to just appear. Popularity, career stage, along with current demand will cause fluctuations in their speaking price as well. The final booking price may be more than what is shown, but you should at least have a budget within that range for them to consider an appearance, performance or speaking engagement.
