MxPx got started playing very fast punk rock music inspired by The Descendents, Black Flag, and other fast bands. Their band name originally was Magnified Plaid but when they created band posters, they abbreviated their name to M.P. The periods were drawn on the posters as little X's so their band name appeared to be MxPx which eventually stuck. They started as a hardcore punk band that played a lot of Christian songs. Later in their creed they moved away from Christian songs and just stuck with classic punk and rock songs. They rose to fame with their punk anthem "Punk Rawk Show". Their most popular song was released and was called "Chick Magnet". This got them recognition and an offer to be signed onto A&M Records. They released three more full length albums with A&M. Their song "Responsibility" turned out to be a hit and got them on tour with The Offspring, and Cypress Hill. They released a song for The Passion Of The Christ: Songs called "The Empire" which won the Gospel Music Association Dove Award for Special Event Album of the Year. Being together over 20 years, they have released 9 full length albums and many more EP's. Also, every year they have been together, they have recorded a new Christmas Song and even have a Christmas Compilation cd that includes all of their Christmas songs.The band decided they would stop touring and they were not breaking up and they will continue to write songs and record together. Can I book MxPx for an event at a price less than shown?
There is low probability to book MxPx for a party with anything substantially less than the published booking cost price range. We will negotiate with the MxPx agent on your behalf if your funding is in place. By not having funding ready then it will more difficult to book MxPx, because they get many offers to work events that are at or above asking price. It is also important to consider the travel costs when researching the MxPx booking fee, as additional expenses like this, as well as an entourage of staff and equipment, are not necessarily built-in to the booking fee range shown. If your budget does not factor that in, then there is no benefit for them to want to be hired.
