Derek Sanderson Booking Agency Profile

Book Derek Sanderson for your next corporate event, function, or private party.
A two-time Stanley Cup champion and former professional ice hockey center from Canada, Derek Michael Sanderson (born June 16, 1946), well known by the moniker "Turk," was instrumental in changing the perception of professional athletes throughout the 1970s. The legendary overtime goal by Bobby Orr of the Boston Bruins, which won the 1970 Stanley Cup Finals and is regarded as the best goal in National Hockey League history, was assisted by the two-time Stanley Cup champion. In 598 games with five clubs over the course of 13 NHL seasons, he recorded 202 goals, 250 assists, 911 penalty minutes, and a plus-141 rating. With his 32nd short-handed goal of his career during the 1975–76 season, Sanderson surpassed Toronto Maple Leafs center Dave Keon as the league's all-time leader. For eight years, he held the record. Sanderson still holds the Boston Bruins team record for the most career shorthanded goals (six) in the playoffs, a record he shares with his former linemate Ed Westfall, nearly 50 years after his final game with the team. His 24 regular-season short-handed totals through the 2021–22 season were third in club history, behind Brad Marchand and Rick Middleton. In Boston, Sanderson was appointed managing director of The Sports Group. Although he is not currently mentioned on the business website, his team works with high-profile clients like athletes and celebrities. Together with Kevin Shea, he co-wrote his second autobiography, Crossing the Line: The Outrageous Story of a Hockey Original, which was published in October 2012. I've Got to Be Me, his first autobiography that he co-wrote with Stan Fischler, was released in 1970. The Sports Museum at TD Garden presented Sanderson with the Hockey Legacy Award in September 2013..

The final Derek Sanderson booking price is contingent on many variables and the booking fee we may show is based on a range derived from our past experience with what will Derek Sanderson charge for an event. An example fee to book Derek Sanderson is in the starting range of $25,000-$39,999. However, any recent popularity change would cause a price fluctuation well beyond this example. Also, their speaking fee might be different than the fee shown for the cost to perform or to just appear. Popularity, career stage, along with current demand will cause fluctuations in their speaking price as well. The final booking price may be more than what is shown, but you should at least have a budget within that range for them to consider an appearance, performance or speaking engagement.
