Born in Rio de Janeiro, singer, composer, and instrumentalist Joyce has amassed 31 years in the music business, 21 solo discs, and almost 300 recordings of her songs by some of the greatest names in Brazilian and International music, such as Elis Regina, Gal Costa, Maria Bethnia, Milton Nascimento, Ney Matogrosso, Emilio Santiago, Zizi Possi, Elizeth Cardoso, Simone, Flora Purim, Wallace Roney, Jon Lucien, and many, many others. Her compositions have been used in film sountracks (e.g., The Player" by Robert Altman), on television programs, and in theatrical productions. Her trademark since the beginning of her career has been a first-person feminine idiom, in which she was a pioneer. She was the first female Brazilian composer in the history of MPB to express herself in this form, opening the way for countless other woman artists who followed. At present, her work follows an international path, with annual world tours and the recording of new discs in different countries, without her ever losing her identity as a Brazilian, a woman, and a jazz artist. In 1997, Joyce began a new phase in her work with the publication of her first book of memoirs, "Fotografei voce na minha Rolleyflex" -- a collection of behind-the-scenes stories about the world of MPB over the past 30 years..

"How much does it cost to book Joyce Moreno for an event?" is a frequent question we get, but the final Joyce Moreno booking price is contingent on many variables and the booking fee we show is based on a range derived from our past experience with what will Joyce Moreno charge for an event. Also, their speaking fee might be different than the fee shown for the cost to perform or to just appear. Popularity, career stage, along with current demand will cause fluctuations in their speaking price too. The final booking price may be more than what is shown, but you should at least have a budget within that range for them to consider an appearance, performance or speaking engagement.
There is low probability to book Joyce Moreno for a party with anything substantially less than the published booking cost price range. We will negotiate with the Joyce Moreno agent on your behalf, but if your funding is not in place then it will more difficult to book Joyce Moreno, because they get many offers to work events that are at or above asking price. It is also important to consider the travel costs when researching the Joyce Moreno booking fee, as additional expenses like this, as well as an entourage of staff and equipment, are not necessarily built-in to the booking fee range shown. If your budget does not factor that in, then there is no benefit for them to want to be hired. We do not personally speak for Joyce Moreno, but in our experience in booking talent for over 25 years, this is generally the outcome of inadequate funding.
