Determine a budget
What is your talent budget and/or overall budget? Remember costs that are not included in the talents fee are for example: air and ground transportation if needed, accommodations, catering, artist rider requirements, technical production, and labor. CTI can easily estimate these costs for you before you sign any agreements or contracts.
Celebrity price ranges
Typically a universally recognizable celebrity can range in price from $10,000 to over a $1,000,000 for major superstars. One service we do is to give you a custom list of the celebrities in the best type or style and also in your price range. Prices can vary depending on location, time of the year, length of performance and also who the event is for.
How to choose the right entertainment
CTI believes that it is important for our clients to know all of their options. Our business is to keep current on your options and what the most successful talent would be for your event. Most agencies only push acts that they need to get work for to keep them on their roster. CTI does not have that restriction, YOU are our client not the talent! As in most industries, when a company does volume, they get better prices for their clients. Once you have decided on the type of entertainment that fits your event, CTI will provide you with a custom list of artists/celebrities that fit your request and your budget.
Checking availability
When you have agreed upon an event date, worked out an offer amount and the specific celebrity(s) you are interested in, CTI will send you a Preliminary Offer Agreement. This is a document authorizing CTI to represent you and make an offer on your behalf which starts the booking process. Celebrity talent usually requires a 10-20% deposit to make the offer and confirm the celebrity of choice ,which is typically due within 5-7 business days.
The deposit is due
Once you have selected your entertainment choice(s) and event date, you are ready to make your offer. CTI will fax you a preliminary agreement requiring a 10-20% deposit to make the offer and confirm the celebrity of choice ,which is typically due within 5 business days.
Making a confirming and binding offer
On receipt of the deposit, CTI will make an binding offer on your behalf to contract your chosen celebrity for your event. It is usually easy for us to tell if we will be able to confirm them quickly or that it will take time to confirm them. It is up to the celebrity to decide to accept your terms and confirm your date not us or the manager. Please make sure we have all brochures, website address or material to help confirm and present to the celebrity.
REMEMBER:
Once you have made this signed offer in writing, and it is accepted by the artist or artist?s representatives, you have bought an act and you are legally committed as they are to perform the date according to the agreement.
