Book Atlantic Starr for your next corporate event, function, or private party.
The group was started in 1976 in White Plains, New York by trumpeter Duke Jones (who left the band prior to their first recordings), drummer Porter Carroll Jr., bassist Clifford Archer, percussionist and flautist Joseph Phillips, and three brothers: David Lewis (vocals and guitar), Wayne Lewis (keyboards and vocals), and Johnathan Lewis (percussion and trombone). Other members of the band were lead singer Sharon Bryant (who was later replaced by Barbara Weathers), trumpeter William Sudderth, and saxophonist Damon Rentie (who was replaced by Koran Daniels). In 1977 the band came to Westwood, California and performed on the nightclub scene under the name Newban" which was changed on their debut hit single. Throughout the late 70s and early 80s, Atlantic Starr scored several hits on the R&B charts. Significant crossover success (onto the pop charts) came with the release of their As The Band Turns album, and the single "Secret Lovers.".

Atlantic Starr's current work schedule and location in relation to your event's type, date, budget, and locality will play a primary factor in the acceptance of an offer.
CTI can give you exact pricing once we submit your event details to Atlantic Starr. How much Atlantic Starr does cost to do an event depends on many variables and the fees we show is based on a range derived from our past experience with booking. Popularity, career stage, and current demand can cause an increase or decrease in pricing. The final fee may be more than what is shown, but you should at least have a budget within that range for Atlantic Starr to consider an appearance, performance or speaking engagement.
CTI can not give out direct contact information for the agent or manager of Atlantic Starr. If you want to send them a message, a gift, or request a free appearance or donation of time, then we will not pass along such material or communications to any of our contacts.
There is low probability for Atlantic Starr to work a gig for anything substantially less than the published price range. We will negotiate with Atlantic Starr on your behalf, but if your funding is not in place then it will more difficult to book Atlantic Starr, because they get many offers to work events that are at or above asking price. It is also important to consider Atlantic Starr's travel costs, as they may require an entourage of staff and equipment. If your budget does not factor that in, then there is no benefit for them to want to be hired. We do not personally speak for Atlantic Starr, but in our experience in booking talent for over 25 years, this is generally the outcome of inadequate funding.
