Emily King is a soulful Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter. Her very first album, "East Side Story", was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Contemporary R&B Album category. King started out with small shows throughout NYC, at venues like CBGB and The Bitter End. She landed a record deal with J Records, and was soon after heard on Nas’ album Street Disciple. King has since shared the stage with the likes of Nas, Alicia Keys, Chaka Khan, Erykah Badu, Emeli Sande, Sara Bareilles, Floetry, Maroon 5, and John Legend. Lupe Fiasco can be heard on her single, “Walk in My Shoes”. She released her second album, "The Switch", on her own label, Making Music Records. Emily was born in New York City within a small apartment located on the Lower East Side.
