LANY is an alternative band consisting of three members and based in Los Angeles, California. Los Angeles and New York are the origins of their band's moniker, LANY, which is an acronym. Paul Jason Klein, Charles Leslie "Les" Priest, and Jake Clifford Goss are longtime friends and make up the trio that makes up this band. While Priest and Goss are part of the trio known as WRLDS, Klein worked on a solo project. After going out a few times together, they came to the conclusion that they should form a band. On SoundCloud, they uploaded two singles under the titles "Hot Lights" and "Walk Away." After receiving an extremely enthusiastic response, they began working on their debut EP, which was eventually titled "Acronyms." LANY embarked on a tour of North America while simultaneously working on their second extended play (EP), titled "I Loved You." After the publication of their second EP, they went on to perform at a number of festivals, one of which was Lollapalooza. They even went on tour alongside singers such as Zella Day, Halsey, Ellie Goulding, and Troye Sivan in addition to John Mayer. LANY has completed two headline tours and has released their debut studio album, titled "LANY." The album reached a high position of number 32 on the Billboard charts in the United States. Since then, they have published their second studio album, titled "Malibu Nights," which reached its highest position on the Billboard charts in the United States at number 36.
