Prior to his DJ-ing career, Jackmaster was taught how to be a DJ by his closest friend Calum Morton at the young age of 13. As a teenager, he gained experience by Djing for local clubs, bars, and venues in Glasgow, and he earned his first residency at Monox at the age of 17.
