Formerly the lead singer of Dark Latin Groove (DLG), Huey Dunbar is now a Latin music solo artist. Dunbar was born in New York to a Puerto Rican mother and Jamaican father. Both his Puerto Rican and Jamaican roots have had a big influence on his tropical style of music, which is a fusion of salsa, reggae, and hip-hip/R&B. Dunbar brought his influences and style of music to DLGs sound. DLG had great success. Their first single, No Morira remained at the No.1 position on the Latin Billboard charts for six weeks straight.
