Uprooted is a band by Michael Glabicki from Rusted Root which started as a side project and turned into so much more. He came up with the idea while spending time in Spain. He came back home with all kinds of lyrics that he wrote and didn’t feel like they fit into the sound of Rusted Root so it turned to a side project. Glabicki has a one of a kind voice and while Rusted Root is on hiatus he uses Uprooted as a means to create a new soundscape for him. Uprooted is using their sound to bring back some old parts of Rusted Root, but using more percussion and female vocals. Glabicki is merging both new versions of various Rusted Root’s songs and also using new original music that he creates for Uprooted. Some songs that you can hear during a set list include, “Send Me On My Way”, “Martyr”, “Man Not a Machine”, “Ecstasy”, and “Heaven”..
