Daniele Gaudi, often known simply as Gaudi, is a musician, composer, record producer, and solo artist whose musical sound is a combination of worldbeat, electronica and dub, along with hints of reggae. Though Gaudi has released a large number of solo albums, he is an avid traveler and has traversed the globe performing his music on tour. Gaudi got his start in his career as a keyboardist in Italy, and he often played with bands such as Red Light, Violet Eves, and Wild Planet. Gaudi was later affiliated with a reggae band called Bamboo Company, and this helped increase his knowledge and experience with the genre. Reggae went on to become the core of Gaudi’s musical sound. After gaining exposure and recognition for his production work, Gaudi and a few musicians who were previously members of Bamboo Company decided to form a rap group called Raptus, and they were one of the first hip hop groups to rap lyrics in Italian. After the band split, Gaudi decided to focus mainly on his solo work, which was successful.
