Ross was born in Georgetown, Guyana, and he is the son of retired boxer Charles Amos. Ross has previously competed in the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur where he earned a silver medal in the light heavyweight division. He has also played in the Pan American Games in Winnipeg where he earned a bronze medal in the light heavyweight division. Ross has also competed in the Olympics where he defeated Roland Raforme, and Paul M’Bongo. After competed in the Olympics, Ross turned pro and after turning pro, he took some time off but came back and earned the Commonwealth Cruiserweight Championship. He has also earned the Canadian Boxing Federation Cruiserweight Championship. During his boxing career, Ross competed in a total of 28 fights, won 25 of them, won 16 by KO and lost 3. Apart from his in ring career, Ross has also been apart of the boxing reality television series “The Contender”, where he was the season 4 champion. He has also dipped into acting and has been seen in the films “Cinderella Man”, “Resurrecting the Champ” and “Phantom Punch”..
