Marco Benevento is an American musician, singer, composer, and music producer who is best known for being a performer in the New York experimental music rock and jazz scene since the late 90’s. He is the founder and recording engineer of the recording studio, Fred Short, and he has been a member of bands such as Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and Benevento/Russo Duo. Benevento began playing the piano at only 7 years old and by the time he was a teenager he began recording his own songs. He went on to play for various bands in high school and then earned his degree from Berklee College of Music. Over the course of his career, Benevento has performed and recorded with musicians such as Matt Chamberlain, John McEntire, Andrew Barr, George Porter, Phil Lesh, Joe Russo, and many more.
