David Wilcox is an American folk singer-songwriter and guitarist from Cleveland, Ohio. Wilcox has studied at Anitoch College which is where he began to learn how to play the guitar. He went on to study at Warren Wilson College, which is where he locally began performing at a nightclub called McDibbs. Wilcox went on to release his debut studio album shortly after, “Nightshift Watchman.” This led him to tour all over the country and after performing at the Bluebird Café in Nashville a few years later, he was signed to A&M Records where he released numerous albums off of. Over the course of his career, Wilcox went on to release 20 more albums after the release of his first album. Eight of Wilcox’s albums have charting on the Folk Radio airplay chart and his album, “Big Horizon,” peaked at number 165 on the Billboard 200.
