Dermontti Dawson is an American former professional football center who played in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers the entirety of his career. Dawson was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and he began his career playing football in high school where he was an all-state offensive tackle. Dawson went on to play college football at the University of Kentucky where he lettered in all four of his years and helped his school win the Hall of Fame Bowl. He was also named a second-team All-Southeastern Conference. Dawson was then selected in the second round of the NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. During his time playing with the Steelers, Dawson was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, a six-time first-team All-Pro, was on the Pittsburgh Steelers All-Time Team, and on the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team.
