Mike Donehey is an American singer-songwriter, and guitarist who is best known for his work with the Christian rock band Tenth Avenue North. Donehey was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and he studied at Fredericksburg Christian School from kindergarten through graduation. During his senior year in high school, Donehey was involved in a car crash that nearly killed him and he was told he would never walk again. During this time, Donehey found solace in playing the guitar and he also began writing music. He eventually recovered, and upon his recovery he moved to Florida where he studied at Palm Beach Atlantic University and formed Tenth Avenue North. Since forming Tenth Avenue North, the band has released six studio albums; their first, “Over and Underneath,” earning RIAA certified gold.
