Thomas was born in Houston, Texas, and he began his career playing high school football where he was considered a four-star recruit by Rivals and Scout. Thomas went on to play college football at the University of Oregon where he played in two BCS Bowl games, was a three-time Pac-12 Champion, was a second-team All-Pac-10 Conference, and also played in the Rose Bowl. Thomas went on to go undrafted after college, but was signed to a practice roster agreement with the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL and then signed with the Lincoln Haymakers of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League but didn’t play a game with them. From there, Thomas played for two years with the Portland Thunder/Steel of the AFL and after that, he played with the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League where he helped them to be United Bowl champions. Since then, Thomas has gone on to play for the Massachusetts Pirates of the Indoor Football League. He has also signed with the Cedar Rapids Titans and Washington Valor, but never played season games with either team..
