Bruce Gradkowski is a former American professional football quarterback who played in the NFL. Gradkowski was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and he began his career playing high school football where he was in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League and had earned a WPIAL record of 2,978 yards and 30 touchdowns. Gradkowski went on to play college football at the University of Toledo where he set a Mid-American Conference season record by completing 71.2% of his passes. He was also a MAC Co-Most Valuable Player and a GMAC Bowl MVP. Gradkowski went on to be selected in the sixth round of the NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he played for a year. From there, he went on to play for teams which include the Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Gradkowski finished his NFL career with 709 pass attempts and 375 completions, a 52.9 percentage, 21-24 touchdowns to interceptions, 4,057 passing yards, 65.8 QB rating, and 331 rushing yards. Since retiring from the NFL, Gradkowski has been a volunteer assistant quarterbacks coach at Anthony Wayne high School and has also been the University of Toledo’s Rocket Football Radio Network’s color analyst..
