Brad Park is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player who played as defenseman. Park was born in Toronto, Ontario, and he began his career playing for the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament playing with the Scarboro Lions as well as the Toronto Westclairs and Toronto Marlboros. From there, Park went on to be drafted by the New York Rangers in the NHL Amateur Draft and first began playing with the Buffalo Bisons of the AHL before joining the Rangers. Park played with the Rangers for several years before going on to begin playing with the Boston Bruins and later the Detroit Red Wings before retiring from the NHL. Park has also played internationally with Canada. Over the course of his career, Park has been named to the First All-Star Team five times, has played in nine NHL All-Star games, and has been a runner up for the Norris Trophy six times. Since retiring, Park has been elected for the Hockey Hall of Fame, has published an autobiography; “Straight Shooter: The Brad Park Story,” and has been a coach for the Detroit Red Wings for a year..
