Raef LaFrentz is an American retired professional basketball player who played both power forward and center in the NBA. LaFrentz was born in Hampton, Iowa, and he began his career playing high school basketball where he was named to the USA Today All-USA 1st team and was also a McDonald’s All-American. After high school, LaFrentz playing in the U.S. Olympic Festival North Team and then went on to play college basketball at the University of Kansas where he was an All-American twice and earned first team AP All-America honors twice.
