Tim Thomas is an American retired professional ice hockey player who played goaltender in the NHL. Thomas was born in Flint, Michigan, and he began his career playing college hockey at the University of Vermont before going on to be drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in the NHL Entry Draft although he didn’t play with them. During his time playing college hockey, Thomas was a two-time All-ECAC Conference selection as well as a two-time NCAA East All-American. Thomas then played for the Birmingham Bulls of the East Coast Hockey League as well as the Houston Aeros of the International Hockey League. He also played for various teams such as HIFK, Hamilton Bulldogs, Detroit Vipers, Karpat, Providence Bruins, and eventually the Boston Bruins in the NHL. Thomas spent a majority of his NHL career playing for the Bruins but also played with the Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars. Thomas also played internationally representing the United States in the World Championships as well as the Olympics. Thomas has previously been a Stanley Cup champion while with the Bruins, he has also been a four-time NHL All-Star Game player, a two-time Vezina Trophy winner, a Conn Smythe Trophy winner, and a William M. Jennings Trophy winner..
