Chuck D is an American rapper, author, and producer, who is best known for being the leader and co-founder of the rap group, Public Enemy. Chuck D was born in Queens, New York, and he began his rap career writing rhymes as a teenager. After high school, Chuck D went on to study graphic design at Adelphi University where he earned his B.F.A. During his studies, Chuck D met Flavor Flav, whom he co-founded Public Enemy with shortly after. After the recording of their demo track, “Public Enemy Number One,” Public Enemy were signed to Def Jam Label which led them to release their debut studio album, “Yo!
